System Bus Gateway
The Gateway connects to the System Bus and is specially designed for natural gas measurement applications.
Key Objectives
- Applications are the conversion of protocols (e.g. from Modbus to DSfG)
- Bus access to a system bus as a local revision interface or comprehensive (DSfG) data transmission for Ethernet (LAN)
- GPRS or modem connection
- Modbus Input to connect with the devices
Communication
The system boasts an isolated RS232/RS485 interface, guaranteeing a secure and interference-resistant connection. With an integrated modem supporting GSM, GPRS, and 4G LTE, the device offers versatile connectivity options, ensuring robust and reliable communication capabilities.
Inputs / Outputs
The system is equipped with versatile sensor inputs, including pressure and temperature sensors, allowing for comprehensive monitoring and integration of data in various applications. Additionally, it features 2x Encoder Inputs compatible with Namur Encoder, SCR+ Encoder, or Pulse Encoder.
Electronic Volume Corrector - EVC
EVC – Electronic Volume Corrector is used to calculate the Corrected volume of gas that has passed through the gas flow meter. Electronic volume correctors take the incoming pulse signal from a gas meter and also record the local pressure and temperature and then different algorithms are applied (S-GERG88, AGA8, NX-19 etc.) for calculation of the compressibility to calculate the Corrected volume of gas that has passed through the gas flow meter. Hardware is designed for a potentially explosive environment in ATEX ZONE 0, 1 and 2. To comply with ATEX we have to make sure that it cannot be a source of ignition as this will be in an area where the Gas is always present and could lead to an explosion.
